  • February 24, 2016:  Hospitality Law Conference, Houston, Texas.  Moderator of the "Active Shooter in a Hotel Conference Scenario" session.  The topics will focus on the crisis management teamand cross-functional professionals to develop policies, training, discussion of legal concerns and much more regarding active shooter situations.
  • November 5-6, 2015:  State Bar of Texas Sponsored Seminar (TexasBarCLE), entitled "Legal Issues in the Texas Hospitality Industry" Dallas, Texas, Sheraton at the Galleria.  Panel Member and presentation topic is  "Litigating Over Core Agreements."
  • April 8, 2015: Guest Lecturer to the Graduate Students in Hospitality Law at the University of Houston, Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. The topic will focus on hotel management agreements, asset management agreements and franchise agreements and the corresponding fiduciary duties owned to the owner of the hotel.

  • ​March 19, 2014: Guest Lecturer to the Graduate Students in Hospitality Law at the University of Houston, Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. The main topic was on agency law and fiduciary duties as it relates to hotel management agreements, asset management agreements and franchise/license agreements.
  • February 5, 2014: Participated in the ABA Section of Litigation Regional CLE Workshop at the Belo Mansion, titled "Real Estate Litigation and Condemnation: Lone Star Spotlight."  Introduced panel titled "High Stakes Texas Real Estate Litigation: An Inside view from the Office of General Counsel."
  • Organized two Hospitality Law Seminars featuring Scott Joslove, President & CEO of the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association.
